Mr. Ollie Spivey is the embodiment of dedication, compassion, and quiet strength at Rocky Creek. In his role supporting students with unique challenges, he consistently shows patience, love, and professionalism. He does so with a warm smile, no matter what the day brings. Mr. Spivey builds deep, meaningful relationships with students across the school, serving not only as a mentor and educator but also as a steady, father-like figure who students trust and respect. His calm demeanor and ability to listen create a safe, structured environment where students feel valued and empowered to grow both behaviorally and academically. He works closely with teachers and families to provide individualized support that transforms student outcomes, and he never misses an opportunity to celebrate each student’s progress. His presence uplifts the entire school community, and his reliability, positivity, and heartfelt connection to his students make him a perfect example of what it means to be a RACER.

The Henry County Board of Education on May 12 approved the final budget for the 2025-2026 school year, which includes an investment of $13,867 per student and raises the starting teacher salary to $53,910.

Henry County Schools juniors Hannon Grimwood Moss and Carrington Stevens were among 50 high school students from across the region who recently graduated from the Model Atlanta Regional Commission (MARC) youth leadership program.

HCS High Schools Continue to Improve AP Performance with Multiple 2025 AP Honor Schools Recognitions
Henry County Schools high schools placed in seven of eight categories on the Georgia Department of Education’s (GaDOE) recently released 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools list.

Ola High School’s Gremlin (5203G) robotics team was named Tournament Champion at the Georgia VEX V5 Robotics Competition High School State Championship in February.
